The following 28 Resolutions received the highest number of delegate votes at the Olmsted 20/24 Unit Convention and will be advanced to the 2026 DFL State Convention for further consideration.

AG-3: The MN DFL supports protecting water resources and providing farmers with information, training, and technical assistance to implement environmentally sound farming practices, including resilient crop choices and responsible fertilizer, pesticide, and runoff management.

CIV-1: The MN DFL supports protecting people’s rights to legal and safe abortion and reproductive health technology and medication. Health providers in Minnesota who offer abortion and reproductive health services will be protected in the legal system and by their employers.

CIV-4: The MN DFL supports the First Amendment right to participate in political boycotts and calls for the repeal of anti-boycott legislation.

CIV-5: The MN DFL condemns white Christian nationalism in all its forms and considers it a threat to democracy and our constitutional freedoms. The DFL is committed to the separation of church and state and protecting the free exercise of religion. Religion should not be used to justify discrimination.

CIV-9: The MN DFL opposes the SAVE Act to ensure secure and accessible elections.

CIV-10: The MN DFL supports democracy with free and fair elections. We support codifying voting rights protections to prevent discrimination and address inequities in voting access, and codifying a voter's standing to challenge the state, or localities, that implement new voting rules that create inequities.

CIV-11: The MN DFL supports universal access to mail-in voting to increase participation and ensure election accessibility.

CIV-13: The MN DFL supports overturning Citizens United with passage of a constitutional amendment to clarify that money is not speech. Further, we wish to clarify that corporations are not people and should not be extended constitutional rights intended for natural persons – specifically, the protection of political speech.

CIV-15: The MN DFL supports protecting civil rights, free speech, and freedom of the press in Minnesota by limiting the militarization of law enforcement, restricting the use of domestic military deployments in civilian communities, and ensuring appropriate separation between local law enforcement and federal immigration enforcement activities.

CIV-16: The MN DFL opposes immigration enforcement practices that separate families, violate human rights, and provide for excessive presence of federal agents in the community, including any presence at or near sensitive zones, such as schools, childcare centers, places of worship, and election offices.

CIV-17: The MN DFL supports state and local efforts to ensure the safety and security of all residents regardless of immigration status including state-level restrictions on interactions, requiring agents to be identifiable, eviction moratoriums, and sanctuary policies.

CIV-18: The MN DFL supports comprehensive immigration reform at the Federal level starting with a road to citizenship for "dreamers," resolving the border crisis, providing adequate funding to adjudicate cases quickly, increasing oversight of and limitations of federal immigration enforcement.

COM-2: The MN DFL supports limits on lot rent increases for manufactured home residents.

COR-2: The MN DFL supports a moratorium on data centers until there are comprehensive regulations that protect local communities and the environment, and will provide for transparent processes and community engagement.

ED-1: The MN DFL supports fully funding high-quality public education and youth programs to ensure access to safe spaces and meaningful education.

ED-2: The MN DFL opposes school vouchers or tax credits that redirect public tax dollars away from public schools.

GOV-2: The MN DFL supports banning members of congress, their spouses and dependents, from purchasing individual stocks and provide a window of notice to the public before individual stocks are sold.

GOV-3: The MN DFL supports holding federal agents and leaders criminally and civilly responsible for crimes committed while operating within Minnesota.

HHS-1: The MN DFL supports universal access to high-quality, affordable childcare and early childhood education.

HHS-3: The MN DFL supports incentives, training, and funding needed to support the viability of emergency medical services in rural Minnesota.

HHS-4: The MN DFL supports legislation for a health care system that puts patients over profits, by enacting the Minnesota Health Plan at the state level and the Medicare for All Act of 2023 at the national level.

NR-1: The MN DFL supports the Minnesota Legislature holding hearings on copper nickel mining, and supports withholding all permits for copper nickel sulfide mines in Minnesota until it can first be proven that such mines can be operated safely in our water rich environment and not violate state, federal, and tribal water quality standards.

NR-2: The MN DFL supports accelerated action to protect, restore, and improve management of forests, prairies, and wetlands to fight climate change and preserve natural places for people and wildlife.

PS-1: The MN DFL supports a restorative and redemptive justice system as opposed to a punitive system.

RJ-1: The MN DFL supports defending the Gender-Affirming Rights Act to protect the safety and well being of all Minnesotans by affirming and supporting individual gender identities and protecting their access to medically necessary gender-affirming care.

RJ-3: The MN DFL believes that the state of Minnesota must guarantee racial, ethnic, gender, LGBTQIA2S+, and economic justice for all Minnesotans.

TAX-1: The MN DFL supports a progressive wealth tax on incomes of $100 million or more that increases with higher levels of wealth.

TAX-2: The MN DFL supports tax policies that close loopholes and ensure that corporations and non-profit entities pay a fair share of taxes to support crucial public services.
