You’re invited to join Attorney General Keith Ellison for a series of community forums to discuss his work to protect the rights and freedoms of the people of Minnesota.

At these forums, you will hear from Attorney General Ellison about what he’s doing to defend Minnesotans from federal attacks on citizenship, privacy, funding, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, abortion rights, and more — and what you can do to stand up for your community as well. You will also be able to share your story, pass along your concerns for the future, or just learn from others in your community.

Following our recent panel discussions, it is clear that there is an acute need to continue the conversation and take action on critical issues. This event will provide a space for community members to organize around issues like immigration, healthcare, workers rights, economic concerns, and more. It's an opportunity to plan how we can work together to address these challenges, whether through rallies, letters, or other forms of advocacy. Your participation will be vital as we lay the groundwork for future action.

This will not look like a traditional DFL meeting, instead we will form a Caucus around issues that are facing our community today. You’ll choose a group, discuss organizing strategies, and determine what support is needed from the DFL. No RSVP is required. Please join us!

Join fellow DFLers for a Spooktacular stroller-friendly door knocking event on Sunday, October 27th. We will meet up at the Rochester DFL office (1500 1st Ave NE, Suite A) at 2:30 pm for Halloween-themed activities for the kids, and will hit the doors by 3:00. Let's work together to tell our neighbors how important this election is to our children, and let them show off their fun costumes, too! Join DFLs of Olmsted County, Garden Party Books, and Southeastern Minnesota's literary community as we support Kamala Harris' presidential campaign and our state's and district's Democratic candidates. The event will begin with poets Jim Armstrong, Jean Prokott, and Anne Owen Shea, and the second half of the evening will be an open mic--first come, first sign-up: if you would like to read, bring a poem of your own or from another author that suits the occasion, whether about politics, America, or advocacy. There will be opportunities to volunteer, get campaign signs, and get voting information, and free will donations will be accepted.

It’s that time of year! Our Rochester DFL units, SD 25 and Olmsted 20/24, are hosting the 10th Annual FDR Dinner on Saturday, September 21st from 4-8 p.m. at Aune Hall, Graham Park, Rochester.

The evening will feature good company, delicious food from Omar’s Kitchen, a cash bar by Tavern 22, silent and live auctions, and of course, our local legislators and candidates.

Join us as we make calls out to voters 47 days before we elect Kamala Harris as our 47th President of the United States!

On the eve of early voting, whether you're a first time phone banker or seasoned dialer, we'll need your help talking to voters to make sure they know the importance of voting for DFLers up and down the ticket.

Training will be provided at the beginning of the event.
