MAY DAY STRONG RALLY- National Day of Action

  • Soldiers Field Park 300 7th Street Southwest Rochester, MN, 55902 United States (map)

Ready for the next national MASS MOBILIZATION EVENT? Let’s rally together on MAY DAY!

On Thursday May 1, 2025, in cities across the country, we will honor the legacy of the workers who gave everything for the eight-hour workday and so much more—and we will carry their struggle into today’s fight for a country that serves the many, not the few. This is not just about commemorating the past… we are building the future.

Let’s build the society we all deserve. To start:

1. Stop the billionaire takeover and rampant corruption of the Trump administration.

2. Protect and Defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs working people rely on.

3. Fully funded schools, healthcare and housing for all.

4. Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and other communities.

5. Invest in communities, not wars.

We're coming together at Soldier’s Field in Rochester, MN to demand justice, equity, and dignity for all workers. We will rally for a better future with our community, local unions and community support organizations. We will have musicians, local speakers, and a march down Broadway. Bring your best signs and all of your friends and family. Every single American that is concerned about the direction our country is headed needs to stand up and be counted! WE are the MANY, and TOGETHER we are STRONG!!

Rough schedule of events:

4:30 - 5:00 Gather crowd, rally together

5:00 - 5:30 Speakers and calls to action

5:30 - 6:00 March down Broadway

6:00 - 6:30 Wrap up rally

The rally will feature speakers from SE MN Area Labor Council, SEIU Healthcare MN & IA, Minnesota Association of Professional Employees Local 2001, Rochester Education Association, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1005, and more!

This event is co-sponsored by Indivisible 507 - Rochester MN Area, MN 50501 - Rochester, and ISAIAH. A core principle behind our May Day actions is a firm commitment to peaceful resistance. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
